Tala’al-badru ‘alayna
Min thaniyyatil-wada’ wajaba al-shukru ‘alayna
Ma da’a lillahi da’
O the white moon rose over us
From the valley of wada’
And we owe it to show gratefulness
Where the call is to Allah
Ayyuha al-mab’uthu fina
Ji’ta bi-al-amri al-muta‘
Ji’ta sharrafta al-madinah
Marhaban ya khayra da’
O you who were raised amongst us
Coming with a word to be obeyed
You have brought to this city nobleness
Welcome! Best caller to god’s way
Tala’al-badru ‘alayna,
Min thaniyyati al-wada’
Wajaba al-shukru ‘alayna,

Al-Mu'allim
We once had a Teacher
The Teacher of teachers,
He changed the world for the better
And made us better creatures,
O Allah we’ve shamed ourselves
We’ve strayed from Al-Mu'allim,
Surely we’ve wronged ourselves
What will we say in front him?
O Mu'allim...
Chorus
He was Muhammad salla Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam,
Muhammad, mercy upon Mankind,
He was Muhammad salla Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam,
Muhammad, mercy upon Mankind,
Teacher of all Mankind.
Abal Qasim [one of the names of the Prophet]
Ya Habibi ya Muhammad
(My beloved O Muhammad)
Ya Shafi'i ya Muhammad
(My intercessor O Muhammad)
Khayru khalqillahi Muhammad
(The best of Allah’s creation is Muhammad)
Ya Mustafa ya Imamal Mursalina
(O Chosen One, O Imam of the Messengers)
Ya Mustafa ya Shafi'al 'Alamina
(O Chosen One, O intercessor of the worlds)
He prayed while others slept
While others ate he’d fast,
While they would laugh he wept
Until he breathed his last,
His only wish was for us to be
Among the ones who prosper,
Ya Mu'allim peace be upon you,
Truly you are our Teacher,
O Mu'allim..
Chorus
Ya Habibi ya Muhammad
(My beloved O Muhammad)
Ya Shafi'i ya Muhammad
(My intercessor O Muhammad)
Ya Rasuli ya Muhammad
(O My Messenger O Muhammad)
Ya Bashiri ya Muhammad
(O bearer of good news O Muhammad)
Ya Nadhiri ya Muhammad
(O warner O Muhammad)
'Ishqu Qalbi ya Muhammad
(The love of my heart O Muhammad)
Nuru 'Ayni ya Muhammad
(Light of my eye O Muhammad)
He taught us to be just and kind
And to feed the poor and hungry,
Help the wayfarer and the orphan child
And to not be cruel and miserly,
His speech was soft and gentle,
Like a mother stroking her child,
His mercy and compassion,
Were most radiant when he smiled
Chorus
Abal Qasim [one of the names of the Prophet]
Ya Habibi ya Muhammad
(My beloved O Muhammad)
Ya Shafi'i ya Muhammad
(My intercessor O Muhammad)
Khayru khalqillahi Muhammad
(The best of Allah’s creation is Muhammad)

God Is The Light
nga Yusuf Islam
Marre nga albumi 'Syukur'
How great the wonder of the heavens
And the timeless beauty of the night
How great, then how great the Creator?
And its star like priceless jewels
Far beyond the reach of kings
Bow down for the shepherd guiding him home
But how many eyes are closed
To the wonder of this night?
Like pearls hidden deep, beneath a dark stream of desires
But like dreams vanish with the call to prayer
And the dawn extinguishes night - here too are signs
God is the Light, God is the Light
How great the beauty of the earth and the creatures
who dwell on her
How great, then how great the Creator?
As its mountains pierce the clouds
High above the lives of men
Weeping rivers for thousands of years
But how many hearts are closed
To the wonders of this sight?
Like birds in a cage, asleep with closed wings
But as work stops with the call to prayer
And the birds recite - here too are signs
God is the Light, God is the Light
How great the works of man and the things he makes
How great, then how great the Creator?
Though he strives to reach the heavens
He can barely survive
The wars of the world he lives in
Yet how many times he’s tried, himself to immortalise?
Like his parents before him in the garden of Eden
But like the sun sets with the call to prayer
And surrenders to the night here too are signs
God is the Light everlasting, God is the Light everlasting
God is the Light everlasting, God is the Light everlasting

In Sa’altu (Nese me pyesni)
(Degjoje)
nga Yusuf Islam
Marre nga albumi 'Prayers of The Last Prophet'
If you ask me who my God is, on whose name I call
If you ask me who my God is: ‘He’s the God of us all'
'Allah, the Merciful’
If you ask me what my Book is that I hold in my hand
If you ask me what my Book is: ‘It’s the Holy Qur’an, the Holy Qur’an’
If you ask me who my Prophet is, I will say, ‘Haven’t you heard?
His name is Muhammad, Salla Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam,
A Mercy to the worlds, a Mercy to the worlds’
If you ask me who my enemy is, I will say, ‘Don’t you know?’
If you ask me who my enemy is: ‘He’s that same old Devil, that same old Devil’

Bismillah
Raihan
Marre nga albumi 'Senyum'
We begin by saying Bismillah
we end by saying Alhamdulillah
That is how we live our day
May Allah give blessings to our way
We should start work with only one intention
to earn Allah's affection
so that he will give us ease
and we will always be in grace
Our hearts will then feel peace
and content with what we receive
Good and bad are both from Allah
but it is us who make the choice
Good deeds will take us to heaven
disobedience only brings punishment
Only Iman (faith), Amal (actions) and Taqwa (piety)
can act as our provisions
Knowledge is the light that shines in darkness
From sound knowledge will come good actions
good actions will bring kindness
Helping each other, working together
the wealth we receive, we give in charity
We will live our lives happy, in harmony

The Veil
(From the Sound Vision documentary Hijab: An Act of Faith)
They say, "Oh, poor girl, you're so beautiful you know
It's a shame that you cover up your beauty so."
She just smiles and graciously responds reassuringly,
"This beauty that I have is just one simple part of me.
This body that I have, no stranger has the right to see.
These long clothes, this shawl I wear, ensure my modesty.
Faith is more essential than fashion, wouldn't you agree?"
This hijab,
This mark of piety,
Is an act of faith, a symbol,
For all the world to see.
A simple cloth, to protect her dignity.
So lift the veil from your heart to see the heart of purity.
They tell her, "Girl, don't you know this is the West and you are free?
You don't need to be oppressed, ashamed of your femininity."
She just shakes her head and she speaks so assuredly,
"See the bill-boards and the magazines that line the check-out isles,
with their phony painted faces and their air-brushed smiles?
Well their sheer clothes and low cut gowns they are really not for me.
You call it freedom, I call it anarchy."
This hijab,
This mark of piety,
Is an act of faith, a symbol,
For all the world to see.
A simple cloth, to protect her dignity.
So lift the veil from your heart to see the heart of purity.
Lift the veil from your heart and seek the heart of purity.
